PORTRONIK installed, at the main entrance to the Royal Victoria Hospital, two specially manufactured automatic sliding doors. These doors, manufactured by BESAM, have two extra lateral panels to offer people protection against the moving panels; this arrangement is also called pocket side lites. An exhaustive study of all the various brands of doors available was carried out prior to choosing a product from BESAM 's AMD series. Following this study, the professionals in charge of this project chose BESAM doors on the basis of their strength as well as their built-in reliability. This choice would allow the Royal Victoria Hospital to realize long-term savings on maintenance costs while benefiting from uninterrupted, reliable service. |
